Video Formats
The videos on this site are available in XviD, Windows Media Video and QuickTime/H.264 formats. For each format, "large" and "small" versions are provided. The large versions are presented in a resolution of 720x576; the small versions in 360x288. Provision in these three formats is designed to cater for as many potential viewers as possible, as these three formats represent the most popular among the online community at this time.
The XviD releases of my videos are created using the excellent MediaCoder transcoder. The WMV releases are created with Windows Media Encoder. And finally, the H.264 releases are created using QuickTime Pro.
The feeds on the site provide a number of options for keeping up to date with my latest releases - the most recently supported being iTunes. Now that the videos are available in QuickTime/H.264, you can just click the "iTunes" button on the left to automatically add the QuickTime Large feed to your iTunes Podcasts section. And for those of you not using iTunes, the XviD and WMV feeds provide subscription options for other platforms like Miro.
